Cyber Monday deals may break $2 billion as people flock to their iPads, computers and cellphones to catch the major savings. In promotion for the big day companies plastered there deals and countdowns on twitter and other sites of electronic offerings.

Sales which started at midnight had consumers watching the clock on amazon that was offering a Panasonic VIERA 55-inch TV at 60% off.  Retail analyst Marshal Cohen said, "Cyber Monday is really all about doing your homework, and it really means looking for the really good deals. If it's a really good deal, grab it." Even though, Cyber Monday sales are usually important sales that started on Thanksgiving day may have overshadowed the biggest internet sale day, "Look for Cyber Monday to be important, but not necessarily getting that same growth rate that they've had in years past," Cohen said.

According to Adobe Digital Index, spending will reach $2 billion from online shoppers who avoided long lines and crazy crowds. According to USA Today, Sucharita Mulpuru-Kodali, an analyst for Forrester Research  didn't jump the gun and plays it safe by saying, "I don't think that you can come to a conclusion of how Cyber Monday did until you wait until the very, very last minute," she added, "because there's going to be a lot of shopping right up until the deadlines of whenever offers are available."
