Seven-Time Lottery Winner Richard Lustig on How to Win Powerball Jackpot $500 Million Prize, Don't Rely on Quick Picks! [VIDEO]

Richard Lustig from Orlando is a seven-time lottery winner - and the big-winner insists that luck has nothing to do with it. It's all about strategy and playing smart! People are currently going crazy over the Powerball Jackpot, which is up to an outstanding $500 million! Lustig recently spoke with Fox affiliate WKMG and "Good Morning America" to give some pointers on what lotto enthusiast should do if they wish to be the next big winner. Lustig handed out these pointers on Tuesday, Nov. 27:

Don't rely on Quick Picks, ever - in other words, don't let the machine automatically choose your numbers for you. And once you select your ten sets of numbers, keep those same digits if you continue buying tickets. "Always pick the same numbers," Lustig suggests. "Don't play Quick Picks. When you play Quick Picks, your odds are always going to be at their worst."

Buy as many tickets as you can afford - there is power in numbers. But Lustig warns to be wise about it! "Play smart" and stick to a budget you can afford - "You don't want to wake up Thursday morning and realize you're a loser and then pull your hair out trying to replace the money you spent."

Do some research and see if your numbers have ever won before - Lustig warns to stay away from sequences that have already come up in past winnings. "Luck has absolutely nothing to do with it," he insists. "How can anybody in their right mind say this guy's won seven times he's just a lucky guy? Come on. Nobody can be that lucky."

Lustig has even written a book to help potential lottery-winner hopefuls entitled "Learn How to Increase Your Chances of Winning the Lottery" - and apparently it has worked for some!
