Alec Baldwin Trashes 'New York Post' in Twitter Rant against Columnist Andrea Peyser, Deems NYC Daily 'Worst Newspaper in Human History'

According to actor Alec Baldwin, the popular NYC daily the "New York Post" is by far the "worst newspaper in human history." The 54-year-old Emmy Award winner is an avid participant in the New York media (he currently writes a column for the "Huffington Post"), but he really took out some irritated aggression in trashing the "Post" columnist Andrea Peyser on Twitter over a recent piece she wrote about his alleged stalker. Peyser referred to Baldwin as a "bloviating psycho" in her article, and Baldwin recently retaliated in a Twitter rant by deeming the "Post" columnist a "morally bankrupt partisan... who demeans all women." Read on to check out all of Baldwin's "Post"-bashing insults.

The drama all starts with Baldwin's supposed stalker, Genevieve Sabourin. The woman was initially arrested for allegedly stalking Baldwin outside his New York City apartment earlier this year - she was just arrested again after creepily tweeting Baldwin's wife Hilaria. The story made the front page of the "Post" on Wednesday, and proved quite scandalous considering Sabourin claimed she and Baldwin actually had a two-year romantic relationship.

But it's not the report on Sabourin that got Baldwin so heated... it was Peyser's personal comments on the matter that deeply offended the "Departed" star. Peyser ultimately sided with Sabourin in her piece, referring to Baldwin as a "bloviating psycho... who seduce[s] small women and bash[es] puny photographers" who should promptly drop all stalker charges. And Baldwin wasn't having it. In a lengthy series of ranting tweets fired out on Wednesday (Nov. 28), Baldwin exclaims:

@ABFalecbaldwin: "You read some columnists in the newspapers, you have to wonder who they are really working for. You can see they have an agenda... When some1 is arrested + brought up on charges, the DA's office functions as a state agency, and does not respond, like a concierge...  The DA decides if charges should be brought, if they believe a crime has been committed. You don't call them and place an order... The New York Post would have you believe that certain people have the ability to direct the DA to do their private bidding... Everyone who breathes air knows the Post is the worst newspaper in human history. But shame on them for politicizing a criminal case the Post insults the entire staff of the NY DA... And shame on the morally bankrupt partisan trash Andrea Peyser, who demeans all women by inferring that a charge of criminal harassment is overkill when the defendant is a woman. The "lovesick" defense most women I know insist that women enjoy equal rights and inherit equal responsibilities in all things. Peyser spits on the DA and all women in one, poorly written, ultimately unmemorable column. #dontbuythepost."

Woah (and these tweets have since been deleted).

Apparently writers shouldn't mess with the "30 Rock" star! Even so, this isn't the first "fight" between Peyser and Baldwin - the "Post" columnist totally bashed Baldwin in another piece earlier this year (basically brandishing him a "womanizer"), and the actor responded by simply joking that his wife Hilaria should apparently "run." So looks like neither party is about to back down from their harsh verbal attacks anytime soon.
