Conan O'Brien and The Office creator Greg Daniels have been longtime friends, and it looks like the two are joining forces to create some (hopefully) hysterical television. It's being reported that O'Brien and Daniels locked a deal with TBS to create a show about aliens.

Per a report from The Hollywood Reporter, the new series will be called The Group. It will center on "a support group for people who think they have been abducted by aliens, which is the subject of a snarky feature piece by skeptical journalist Wyatt Jones. The more he digs into the oddballs' claims, however, the more confused, intrigued and seduced he becomes," according to the report.

The two friends will be executive producers, and of course creators, on the new series.

As mentioned, O'Brien and Daniels have known each other since college. Both headed out to Los Angeles after graduating from Harvard University. Eventually the two wrote together as a pair on Not Necessarily the News. Afterwards, they parted ways and became uber, uber, uber successful.

If you haven't heard, O'Brien went on to write for The Simpsons and Saturday Night Live. He then headed Late Night with Conan O'Brien, had a brief stint on The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien, and is now raking in the success with TBS' CONAN.

Daniels went on to create not only The Office but also the Amy Poehler classic Parks and Recreations.
