Kate Middleton Pregnant! Duchess of Cambridge Expecting First Royal Baby with Hubby Prince William, Hospitalized for Morning Sickness
It's finally official - the beautiful Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton and hubby Prince William are expecting a little royal bundle of joy! While rumors were abuzz for months that Middleton was indeed pregnant, St. James' Palace officially announced the happy news in a recent public statement. While Middleton is still in the early stages of pregnancy and has yet to release the sex of the child, she was recently admitted to a hospital in London for bouts of "morning sickness."
The Palace released in a statement early Monday morning, Dec. 3 - "Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that the Duchess of Cambridge is expecting a baby. The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry and members of both families are delighted with the news."
No other details were released in regards to a due date or whether the little royal-to-be is a girl or boy, but considering the Palace has released an official statement, E! News reports that Middleton most likely is past her first trimester.
St James' Palace did announce that the Duchess is still in the early stages of pregnancy but has already begun to experience the trials of child-bearing - Middleton was admitted to King Edward VII Hospital in London on Monday due to suffering hyperemesis gravidarum (more commonly known as acute morning sickness). Most other non-royal mothers-to-be can most likely relate!
So it looks like Middleton's toasting with water instead of wine did mean something all along (props still go out to Demi Lovato for supporting the Duchess during her "baby bump" controversy)! Congrats to the happy royal couple on the exciting baby news!
