The countdown continues with only 1 episode of The Flash left on the CW network. During the season finale, will Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) become "devastated" by the loss of Iris West (Candice Patton) when he mistakenly takes up Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh)' ultimatum?

In our previous recap, the Reverse-Flash revealed the future to Eddie (Rick Cosnett), where Iris married Barry and hyphenated her name, West-Allen. Knowing the scarlet speedster's identity, Iris joined the group as they tracked down Gorilla Grodd in the sewers, before the super villain managed to escape into the city. Unable to untie himself, Eddie watched as Wells pulled the switch and reactivated the particle accelerator.

In our recent recap, with the countdown ticking, Barry had to transport his prisoners, including Weather Wizard and Peek-a-boo, to Oliver's prison island. Unfortunately, Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) was planning all along to sabotage the mission and let the prisoners escape. The Flash didn't have to worry though about fighting the Reverse-Flash alone, because the scarlet speedster had Firestorm (Robbie Amell) and Green Arrow (Stephen Amell) giving his enemy an epic beatdown.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Cavanagh reveals Wells makes a life-changing offer to his enemy, "Barry has learned a little bit, over the course of the last five or six episodes, about how messing with time is dangerous. I don't think anybody knows that better than Eobard, who has come from another time far, far away. Essentially, Eobard is much more knowledgeable about Barry. There are huge risks involved. We're trying to ramp up the risk factor to an intolerable degree. I hope very much that we've succeeded, because while we were doing it, it was very gratifying."

In an interview with EW, Danielle Panakaber teases why Caitlin Snow is so worried, "Oh, man. Our season finale is absolutely incredible. All season, we've been slowly uncovering more and more about Dr. Wells and it's finally time to understand who he is and how evil his masterplan is. You will see a lot of familiar faces and, truthfully, the finale is devastating. There's a lot of consequences-some really, really sad ones."

Don't forget Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee) will show up in the first season finale too!
