Montel Williams Slams Josh Duggar Amidst Child Molestation News: "He Chose to Work for a Bigot"

It looks like the heat is turning up for Josh Duggar! MStars News has learned that longtime TV talk show host, Montel Williams is throwing some shade at the 19 Kids and Counting star following the past alleged child molestation case the Duggar was involved in.

MStars News has been keeping up with this story all day, and bringing you the latest details by the minute as we learn more about Josh's actions as a teen when he allegedly molested five underage girls.

So far, we've shared Josh's public apology and resignation from the Family Research Council (FRC)

Duggar admitted to fondling the breasts and genitals of the unnamed girls while they were sleeping.

"We spoke with the authorities where I confessed my wrongdoing, and my parents arranged for me and those affected by my actions to receive counseling. I understood that if I continued down this wrong road that I would end up ruining my life," Josh, the eldest son of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar revealed.

After the news broke Montel Williams took to his Facebook and addressed the situation writing:

"Those of you on Twitter know where I stand on 19 Kids and Counting star Josh Duggar. Josh chose his path - he chose to work for a bigot - Tony Perkins and his organization. He chose to make bigoted comments about ‪#‎lgbt‬ individuals being dangers to kids - he chose to do ALL OF THOSE THINGS while hiding the fact his father had essentially covered up Josh having, by his own admission, molested his sisters as a teenager. So yes, that renders him a bigot, and yes, it is appropriate to call him a hypocrite, and yes, a scumbag. Turns out the "danger" to kids is Duggar himself. Thing is this tends to happen with those who are extreme in their anti-gay bigotry - they all end up learning why it's a bad idea to throw stones from a glass house. That he did this while preaching about Christian values makes me wonder if he has read the Gospel. If he did, he has a reading comprehension problem."

He added later:

Montel Williams "Oh, another thing - Christian camp is not sex offender treatment - there are PLENTY of licensed programs that have a faith component and I applaud those programs! The one Josh went to was not one of those."

Misty Seddon Very well said Montell. I agree with you 100 percent. As a child of sexual abuse myself I am disgusted at how this has been swept under the carpet because of his fame and his family fortune and his daddy's ties to the community. Where is the justice for the girl he violated? I am so angry about this I could chew nails in half.

Shonna Hayes I was a foster parent for 7 years. Josh was a KID when this happened. He fully admitted it...they dealt with it. He's not denying it now. This shouldn't be public record it happened when he was a juvenile. There are children in foster care that do this sort of thing all the time....and there are children that do this in bio-homes too. I am certainly not condoning it...but I don't think it's appropriate to ruin his life for something that happen when he was a kid and was dealt with at the time.

Misty Seddon I don't know if that question is directed towards Montel or not. But if it is montel still is and has always been an open book to his fans and to the public. Any skeletons in his closet already been set loose. thank you

Laurel Foreman How was it dealt with at the time?? His dad waited four years until the limitations ran out coincidence? Hardly. They proved keeping him out of trouble with the law and sweeping it under the rug was more important than the safety of minors. If it was dealt with appropriately at the time it wouldn't be causing such a discussion now his family covered for him period.

Susan Mitchell Wow Montel, looks like about the only two things we have in common or see eye to eye on, would be #1- both have MS and #2- deep conviction to protect and love for our military and vets... I'll keep looking though. smile emoticon
God Bless you Montel!

Laurel Foreman He did not make a "mistake" he made five... That is now a sick compulsion and with family members as well as minors To downplay it as something less than what it was...sexual abuse, is an insult to victims everywhere.

Instagram and twitter seemed to agree that Josh is a monster, uploading their outrage all over social media!
