Not only is Rihanna a total bada$$, but she makes a pretty awesome gal pal, too.

Stunning model Cara Delevingne is now pursuing a career in acting - the 22-year-old blonde bombshell will star in a slew of upcoming movies including Paper Towns, Pan, and 2016's highly-anticipated Suicide Squad. But before landing such big-name gigs, Delevingne was actually rejected for a role she was really hoping for. So who did the English beauty call for support and advice? The "Pour It Up" songstress!

"I was heartbroken," Delevingne admitted in a recent interview with Wall Street Journal Magazine. But she later gave RiRi a buzz, and the 27-year-old Barbadian singer explained that "everything happens for a reason. You are going to call me back in a week or two and say, 'You are right.'"

And of course, she was!

She soon snagged the lead part playing Margo Roth Spiegelman in Jake Schreier's teen romantic mystery, Paper Towns. The flick hits theaters on July 24 (2015).

Still, Delevingne finds Hollywood a very tough industry to battle:

"It's horrible living in a world where I'll get a call from someone saying, 'So-and-so says you were partying a lot and you were looking this way and you need to lose weight.' It makes me so angry. If you don't want to hire me, don't hire me" (via music-news.com).

Meanwhile, the renowned fashionista is enjoying a blossoming romance with Grammy Award winner, St. Vincent. But it's still hard to rekindle a friendship with ex-girlfriend, Michelle Rodriguez. Both ladies were spotted at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this month, and eventually attended one of the same parties. But Delevingne totally avoided her former "Fast & Furious" lover:

"Cara and Michelle haven't spoken since the split and they aren't friends anymore," an alleged insider tells The Mirror. "Cara was with her new girlfriend and she couldn't face any kind of awkward confrontation."

So - how many MstarsNews readers plan on catching Delevingne on the big screen sometime soon?
