The Dolphins snag the no 20 spot in ESPN's power rankings heading into Sunday afternoon's game, with five wins and eight losses.Sports analyst Jamison Hensley reports, "A loss would clinch their fourth straight non-winning season, matching the longest streak in franchise history." Even so, Hensley points out that rookie star quarterback Ryan Tannehill deserves some kudos, he "has thrown for 2,373+ yards this season, surpassing Dan Marino for the most by a rookie in Dolphins history." Meanwhile the 49ers hold the no 4 spot with eight wins, three losses, ad one tie. As the Bleacher Report's NFL analyst Brain Leigh points out, "The Niners are still alpha males among boys--especially in the NFC. Is there a team you'd rather see less in the playoffs?"
