It won't be too long until Jake Gyllenhaal's new movie Southpaw will hit the big screen. One person in particular who is really looking forward to the movie is Hollywood mega-producer Harvey Weinstein and apparently he plans on handicapping Gyllenhaal's 2016 Oscar bid from France at the Cannes film festival.

Weinstein says this is revenge for Gyllenhaal not getting the Oscar for his performance in Nightcrawler. He called Southpaw "amazing" in his Oscar handicapping statement.

"We'll get revenge," Weinstein said. "This transformation in Southpaw is amazing,"

Not only is Southpaw getting buzz from Weinstein and the Oscars, a bunch of stars jumped at the chance to watch the first screening of the movie. On a private yacht built specifically for watching the movie, the likes of Michelle Rodriguez, Antonio Banderas, Mary J. Blige, Charli XCX, Adrien Brody, Dita Von Teese and Adriana Lima all watched the film.

Southpaw and Training Day director Antoine Fuqua says it's Gyllenhaal's best movie to date. Fuqua may be the most impressed by Gyllenhaal out of everyone.

"I'm so pumped, man," Fuqua said. "Jake is going to change how people see him. I had him training twice a day in the boxing ring, he did two-a-days seven days a week. I pretty much had him with me and my trainer every day. I took him to almost every fight. I had him train at Floyd Mayweather's gym in Vegas and we watched Floyd's fights, and the Manny Pacquiao fight. He trained in New York at Church Gym with real fighters. We literally turned him into a beast."

Do you think Southpaw will be as good as everyone says it is and will it indeed land Gyllenhaal an Oscar?
