Adam Sandler 'Hallelujah' Hurricane Sandy Parody with Paul Shaffer at 12-12-12 Benefit Concert a Hit, Goes Viral on Twitter [VIDEO]

Among a slew of legendary musicians including Bruce Springsteen, The Who, the Rolling Stones, Bon Jovi, and a Paul McCartney-led Nirvana, it was actor Adam Sandler's entertaining parody of Leonard Cohen's classic "Hallelujah" at Madison Square Garden's 12-12-12 Hurricane Sandy benefit concert that really stole the show and had the Twitter world abuzz. With lyrics like "Sandy, screw ya/we'll get through ya/because we're New Yawkers," what's not to love? Catch the awesome Sandler "Hallelujah" performance below.

Along with bashing Hurricane Sandy, Sandler pokes fun at a number of New York icons including Donald Trump, A-Rod, Michael Bloomberg, the Mets, and the Knicks. He even manages to throw in some  love for NJ and Connecticut. Flaunting his NY Jets pride and back by the talents of David Letterman's long-time sidekick Paul Shaffer on the piano, Sandler's explicit rendition of "Hallelujah" soon went viral on the web.
