Rihanna and Chris Brown on X-Factor? Simon Cowell wants Controversial Couple to Star as New Judges on Hit Singing Reality Show
Despite their recent spat over third-wheel Karrueche Tran, reports confirm that Simon Cowell would love to have both Rihanna and Chris Brown to star as the new-and-fresh judges on his hit singing reality show "X-Factor." Cowell thinks that RiRi would definitely help to boost show ratings with her worldwide fame and appeal, while Brown would make the perfect replacement candidate for L.A. Reid (who is leaving the judge's table to pursue his own entertainment business endeavors). So what do Mstarz fans think about the controversial couple teaming up on the hit FOX reality series?
An inside source for the Sun confirms, "Simon is a huge admirer of Rihanna and knows she's star quality. As well as bringing an aura to the panel thanks to her current standing in music, she is also feisty and will make great TV. Simon loves these sort of characters." Apparently Cowell would be willing to place RiRi in a judge's seat in either the U.S. or U.K. The "Diamond" songstress' recent appearance on U.K.'s "x-Factor" must have really left an impression on the English television producer and entrepreneur.
Rihanna plans on spending the upcoming holiday in Barbados with her "Don't Wake Me Up" beau, which would be the perfect opportunity for the former "American Idol" star to meet with her, considering he also traditionally travels to Barbados for the Christmas season. Reports have it that Cowell would love to talk business with the R&B princess while they both relax on the beautiful shores of the island country.
As for Brown, Cowell believes his "bad boy" reputation will really bring in the publicity boost that the "X-Factor" needs. Since judge L.A. Reid is currently leaving the show to focus on his record label, the popular "Carpe Diem" crooner would make an awesome replacement. The inside source explains, "The US 'X-Factor' has improved on the first season's ratings but it's got some way to go to reach Simon's expectations. Adding Chris to the panel will certainly create a talking point."
Could RiRi and Brown really make an "X-Factor" dream team? As long as Tran doesn't sign on as a host, Cowell might have something going here!
