Kardashian Holiday Card 2012 Unveiled: Kanye West Doesn't Appear in All-White Christmas Extravaganza, Kim K Hurting Rapper's Career?
Kim Kardashian has officially unveiled the annual Kardashian-Jenner holiday card for 2012, and it looks like the infamous reality fam is definitely prepared for one awesome "White Christmas" extravaganza! 12 members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan appear in the over-the-top holiday photo this year, decked out in all-white and surrounded by pearly balloons and silver confetti. Although Kourtney's boyfriend/baby daddy Scott Disick and Khloe's hubby Lamar Odom appear in the annual holiday card, looks like Kim K's beau Kanye West was a no show. While the celebrity duo seems to be going strong, recent reports have it that the Hollywood socialite is actually hurting the rapper's career. An inside source insists that West's personal life is beginning to overpower his music... but do fans think that's necessarily a bad thing?
Kim K debuted the family's Christmas card on her blog on Monday (Dec. 17), writing:
"Here it is!! Our 2012 family Christmas card shot by the amazing Nick Saglimbeni! We had such a fun time shooting this! What do you think of the final pic??"
While the crew looks as jolly as ever (with some new faces including Kourtney and Disick's 5-month-old daughter Penelope), Khloe admits that it's definitely not easy getting everyone together for the annual holiday pic:
"We pretend that we're always together. The powers of cameras and Photoshop," Khloe recently dished to Ellen DeGeneres. Apparently she and husband Lamar Odom, as well as younger sis Kendall and even Disick, had to be Photoshopped in this year.
Even so, Khloe recently tweeted: "I love our Christmas card! White party."
Kim K's Teacup Persian kitten Mercy also made a festive appearance - although the adorable feline unfortunately passed away from a cancer-like virus earlier in December (read more on that here).
As for the rumors surrounding West's faltering rap career thanks to the influence of Kim Kardashian, one inside industry source recently told the New York Daily News, "His personal life is overpowering his music. Every time he plays, people are wondering if Kim is going to be there. It's not a good thing for him, especially if he wants to be taken seriously." Many other sources claim that the rapper's relationship with the infamous reality star has "tainted" his image (especially with his recent appearances on the hit E! show "Keeping Up with the Kardashians)... and has even negatively impacted his income. The Huffington Post notes:
According to one ticket broker, sales for the rapper's upcoming show at Revel in Atlantic City aren't anywhere near close to being sold out, and concert-goers revealed that a "massive portion" of the audience walked out during his performance at the 12/12/12 Hurricane Sandy benefit concert, to collectively diss the leather kilt he wore that night.
That's not to say that West is about to go bankrupt anytime soon... he was recently nominated for six Grammy awards and was ranked no 45 on Forbes' 2012 list of the 'Most Powerful Celebrities' (with an estimated annual income of $35 million). So what do Mstarz readers think - is Kim K truly hurting West's career, and if so, does it really matter?
While rumors have it that West isn't too thrilled with the direction his career is headed, he's not willing to drop his relationship with Kim because of it. Sources allege the "Gold Digger" singer is currently meeting with top-level industry executives to figure out ways to make his next big move.
