Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez Break Up: Biebs Smokes Pot with Mystery Girl, Lil Twist at Hotel Party Following Paparazzo Death? [PHOTOS]

Following a heated argument during their "romantic" Mexico getaway, reports confirm that pop megastar Justin Bieber and "Spring Breakers" starlet Selena Gomez have officially broken up... again. Just days after the split, the "Boyfriend" crooner was spotted chilling at a post-New Year's hotel party with a mystery girl, buffing on a blunt (yup, the Biebs was supposedly smoking pot). Photos of the teen heartthrob relaxing with Lil Twist and some other pals (and allegedly Mary Jane) were captured the day after a paparazzo photographer (Chris Guerra) was hit by a car and killed after trying to snap pics of the Biebs' white Ferrari in L.A. What a dramatic way to kick off 2013!

In an attempt to rekindle their faltering relationship, 18-year-old Bieber and 20-year-old Gomez flew out to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico on Saturday, Dec. 29 (in hopes of celebrating the New Year out on the beautiful beach). But evidently the duo got into a huge fight on Sunday... Gomez caught a flight home that same day. The Biebs returned to L.A. (solo) on Monday, Dec. 31.

Unfortunately, that wasn't the only blow Bieber was dealt this week. On New Year's Day, photog Chris Guerra was struck by a car on an L.A. freeway after attempting to snap some pics of the Biebs' pulled-over Ferrari. Although the "As Long as You Love Me" singer wasn't even in the car at-the-time (buddy Lil Twist was actually the one behind the wheel), the Biebs released this official message of condolence:

"While I was not present nor directly involved with this tragic accident, my thoughts and prayers are with the family of the victim...Hopefully this tragedy will finally inspire meaningful legislation and whatever other necessary steps to protect the lives and safety of celebrities, police officers, innocent public bystanders, and the photographers themselves." 

But it looks like it only took the Biebs and rapper Lil Twist a few hours to get over the tragedy.

On Wednesday, January 2, the two young musicians were spotted at a Newport Beach hotel party. According to a TMZ inside source, there was A LOT of marijuana in the room... Lil Twist and his brother were allegedly rolling the blunts and smoking everyone up - including Bieber.

Check out several shots of the Biebs laughing it up with friends and smoking a mysterious looking cigarette/cigar (point blank, a blunt) at TMZ.

FYI - just hours before his unfortunate passing, paparazzo Guerra insisted that he spotted the Biebs smoking weed from a pipe in his Ferrari near the Four Seasons Hotel. Bieber's reps heatedly deny such claims.

Bieber's security was present at the hotel party... but no one seemed to mind the pot smoke or the fact that people were avidly snapping pics.

Allegedly, the Biebs arrived at the party with a mystery girl by his side (obviously not Gomez). It's unknown whether or noth the duo also left together... but apparently Bieber spent a majority of the night talking about how tired he was because he hadn't gotten much sleep lately. TMZ reports that the convo then turned to late-night munchies... and where the party crew could find some fast food in the wee hours of the morning.

After the "pot smoking" photos went viral, Bieber tweeted: 

@justinbieber: "Everyday growing and learning. trying to be better. u get knocked down, u get up... Back on tour tomorrow. ready to see u all smile. time to do what im supposed to be doing. performing. #BELIEVEtour."

@justinbieber: "I see all of u. I hear all of u. I never want to let any of you down. I love u and thank u... Like I said... 2013... new challenges. New doubters... I'm ready. We are ready."

So what do fans think about the scandalous pics - is it really such a big deal, or is the Biebs just having some fun as a young, single guy?
