Birdman vs. Jay-Z Beef, Lil Wayne New Music Revenge! Cash Money Sues Tidal, #FWA Scandal

The ongoing feud between Lil Wayne and Brian "Birdman" Williams just won't end - and things are getting rather expensive!

The Cash Money Records mogul still refuses to release Wayne's highly-anticipated new album, The Carter V. So earlier this month, the YMCMB rapper decided to debut another Free Weezy "revenge" album through Jay-Z's exclusive online streaming service, Tidal. Well, that really ticked Birdman off, considering the New Orleans native is still strictly under his "controlling" contract!

So, the Rich Gang hypeman's now suing Beyonce's hubby for "illegally using Wayne to save his business." (via TMZ). He's currently seeking a whopping $50 million in damages!

Woah.

Basically, Cash Money still has full exclusive rights to ALL of Weezy's songs. So when the Magna Carta superstar began premiering new tracks from #FWA online, he did so as an "illegal intermeddler." The entire situation gets extremely nasty in the recent lawsuit obtained by the popular gossip webloid, TMZ. According to Birdman, HOV and his posse clearly ignored industry standards in a "desperate and illegal attempt to save their struggling streaming service."

Sadly, such court claims are sort of true. Apparently, Wayne made a deal with Cash Money back when things were still on good terms. He's still not permitted to license his music to any other parties. However, reps for Tidal strongly argue that Birdman's label does not have an "exclusive lock" on the "I Feel Good" singer. The article points out that "Wayne specifically gave [Tidal] the right to stream his music, in return for part ownership in the company."

Cash Money then finished everything with one final blow - completely trashing Wayne's latest album by insisting that it received "tepid" reviews. Ouch.

Weezy remains mum on Twitter, so stay tuned as further details surrounding this growing hip-hop bombshell develop.
