The Season 7 series finale of the critically acclaimed Mad Men aired on AMC. After playing their memorable roles for seven seasons, actor Jon Hamm, actresses Christina Hendricks, and Elisabeth Moss have earned nominations at the upcoming 2015 Emmy Awards.

In our finale recap, Roger Sterling (John Slattery) moved to Europe after marrying Megan's mother. A single mother, Joan (Hendricks) started her own all-female business, straight out of her home. Peggy (Moss) professed her love for Stan (Jay R. Ferguson) and kissed him.

In the closing minutes, Don found himself at a retreat after Stephanie (Caity Lotz) abandoned him. Breaking down, Don wanted to come back for his dying ex-wife and and children, but he didn't want to return home empty-handed. In a state of medication, Don found himself inspired, coming up with the renowned Coca-Cola commercial that will make a mark in advertising history.

According to Deadline, Hamm is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor In A Drama Series. Moss earned one for Outstanding Lead Actress In A Drama Series. Hendricks gained a nod for Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Drama Series.

For Guest Actor in a Comedy Series, Hamm is also nominated for his hialrious turn in Netflix's Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

Not only is the show itself nominated for Outstanding Drama Series, creator/showrunner Matthew Weiner and co-writer Semi Chellas earned a nod for Outstanding Writing For A Drama Series with their episode, Lost Horizon. This is the third to last episode, where Don abandons his responsibilities, Peggy has one last drink with Roger, and Hendricks loses her battle against sexual harassment at the workplace.

Weiner also earned a nomination for the highly satisfying series finale, Person To Person. After working on the Mad Men pilot since his run on The Sopranos, we're crossing our fingers Weiner is recognized for his dedication and passion.

Andy Samberg (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) will host the Emmy Awards on September 20, 2015.
