Miley Cyrus Paid Ke$ha Measly $1.63 to Help Write 'The Time Of Our Lives,' No Hard Feelings, Songstress had a 'Fun Vibe'
Ke$ha had a great time penning the hit tune "The Time of Our Lives" with fellow pop star Miley Cyrus back in 2009... even if the work only netted her a measly $1.63. In a recent interview with Seventeen magazine, the 25-year-old "Die Young" songstress admitted that she's helped write songs for several other pop artists including Britney Spears and 20-year-old Cyrus. Although the payment for her work with "The Time of Our Lives" wasn't even enough to bother depositing, Ke$ha insists that it's all good and there's no hard feelings. Cyrus provided such a fun vibe and care-free environment, the "Blow" songstress probably wouldn't mind doing it again.
Prior to the release of her hit debut album "Animal," Ke$ha worked alongside a slew of other artists to get her name in the entertainment bizz (including Britney Spears, Kelly Clarkson, The Veronicas, Flo Rida, and Nicki Minaj). She also helped to pen this 2009 tune, featured on Miley Cyrus' second EP, "The Time of Our Lives" -
And according to Ke$ha, the experience was definitely worth more than the pay - "It was like $1.63 cents for a song I wrote - I think for Miley Cyrus. It was an embarrassingly tiny amount. But I never cashed it and it's on a bulletin board in my house."
But Ke$ha doesn't hold the measly amount against her "Hannah Montana" gal pal... writing the song together was just good ol' fashion fun. The songstress told Jam! Showbiz, "Writing for Miley was fun 'cause I think she's funny. I met her and I liked her vibe, so I was like, 'OK, I'll write, like, a party song for a younger crowd."
And the hard work with little pay actually worked out for Ke$ha in the long run... she recently scored her eighth top-ten hit ("Die Young") with the December, 2012 release of her second studio album "Warrior."
