These Teen Sisters Are Taking a Selfie with Every Presidential Candidate

Two teenage sisters are following the 2016 presidential election in the most modern way possible: By getting a selfie with every candidate. Addy and Emma Nozell are from New Hampshire, where candidates are constantly stopping by, and decided to make it a summer project to get a selfie with each of the hopefuls.

It's a particularly difficult election season for the Nozells to work on this project. There are currently 16 Republicans who have thrown their hat in the ring to be president, an unprecedented number, and it's possible that more will join in.

But the girls are determined, and their mother is supportive. Their parents have been taking them to political events since they were young. So far, they've gotten selfies with 15 presidential candidates.

It all started with New Jersey Governor Chris Christie. Emma took a selfie with Christie at the beginning of July, and inspiration struck Addy to catch 'em all.

The girls aren't even old enough to vote in the primaries — Emma is 15 years old and Addy is 17 years old, so at least Addy will be able to vote in her first general election in 2016. They say that by doing this, they're learning more about the candidates than they would have otherwise heard. "It's a really great education for the summer," Emma said. "My friends, they don't even know the candidates and who's running and what's their opinions. And once we post the selfies on social media, they get to learn about them." And for their part, the presidential candidates have so far been pretty game. They were even able to get a pic with Dr. Ben Carson, who had written an op-ed deriding selfies. When Donald Trump came to town, he was ready and waiting for Addy and Emma. "We were flabbergasted," Addy said. "Wow. He knew!"
