Baby Flung from Car: Young Girl Thrown from Unbuckled Seat into Oncoming Traffic in Violent Russia Crash, Survives [VIDEO]

A two-year-old baby girl narrowly avoided death this week after the car she was riding in got involved in a violent, high-speed crash on an icy highway in Moscow, Russia. The young girl (who was not properly buckled into her car seat) was flung from the car and thrown directly into the dangerous path of oncoming traffic. Miraculously, the baby survived and managed to safely escape the scary ordeal with only a few scrapes and bruises and a minor concussion. The frightening crash was captured on the dashboard camera of a vehicle driving right behind the accident when it occurred.

Russian news reports that the baby girl was ejected from her parents' Mitsubishi during the high-speed crash and landed face down on the pavement on all-fours. The SUV smashed backwards into a Scania truck and the back-end of it was ultimately torn apart. Thankfully, two passing trucks on the opposite side of the road managed to slow down and were able to avoid tragically running the baby over. Moments after the accident (which took place on a highway near Nizhny Novgorod in Western Russia), the unidentified girl was then scooped up from the asphalt by the shaken-up driver, allegedly her father. Russia law enforcement claims that the driver, 53-year-old Dmitry Aliev, was attempting to illegally pass another vehicle when the crash occurred on icy road conditions. Apparently, the young child was initially placed on a blanket on the parcel shelf under the rear window of the vehicle rather than being properly strapped into a car seat, resulting in her being propelled out of the back window.

According to reports, the baby girl was rushed to the hospital and treated for bruises, a minor concussion, and a damaged lip. She is safe and expected to fully recover.
