50 Cent Blames Ciara for Chelsea Handler Break Up: Rapper Tells Howard Stern Ex-Flame Still had Feelings that Caused 'Tension' [LISTEN]

During an hour and fifteen-minute long interview with infamous shock jock Howard Stern, rapper 50 cent opened up about his new workout book "Formula 50," reuniting with The Game, talking on the phone with Michael Jackson, the n-word, and how R&B songstress Ciara is to blame for his breakup with popular comedian Chelsea Handler. Both the "Get Rich or Die Tryin'" and "Chelsea Lately" stars remained relatively hush-hush about their short-lived 2010 romance following the split... but according to 50, it all had to do with keeping secrets from Handler about his former flame.

During the on-air interview, Stern tells 50 Cent that he was disturbed when Handler once stated that all her white friends thought it was hilarious that she was dating the African American rapper. 50 tried to defend Handler, saying the comment had "more to do with is image rather than race." And that's when Ciara entered the convo for a hot second...

Apparently after the duo started seeing each other in late 2010, 50 didn't inform Handler that he still kept in contact with his ex-girlfriend, Ciara. Even while seeing Handler, Ciara continued to call 50. It wasn't until Ciara visited Handler's late-night talk show that the rapper felt obligated to come clean that the songstress still had feelings for him and that there might be "some tension" when she arrived at the studio. Handler then compared 50 to an immature eighth grader, and that was the end of that.

But there appears to be no hard feelings between the two... the relationship was just very casual. Handler once admitted to Piers Morgan on his nighttime CNN show,

"We dated, very casually. He's a very sweet, nice guy... I was sampling, kind of, the atmosphere, seeing what was out there, and I was satiated. He's a great guy... he's the complete antithesis of what you'd imagine. He's a sweetheart, he's great, he's funny, he has a great sense of humor."

On a lighter note, 50 also shared with Stern that he referred to Chelsea as a "gator" in bed... but he wouldn't say if he was ever in love with her because he "has a reputation" to uphold.
