Empire Season 2 Spoilers - Mariah Carey, Lenny Kravitz, Kelly Rowland, Alicia Keys Join

Season one of Empire might have been packed with juicy drama and some famous guest stars, but it seems that season two is about to become even more star-studded. While some famous names including Lenny Kravitz, Kelly Rowland and Alicia Keys have all been cast to join the Lee Daniels' hip-hop drama, the name of the guest star that was just revealed today has got us seriously fan-girling out. It was just revealed that Mariah Carey will be making the jump from the recording studio to the studio lot as she has been added to the roster for the all-new episodes.

According to CNN, the show's creator, Lee Daniels, announced the news earlier today while he was presenting the five-time Grammy award winner with a plaque on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

"Watch her on Empire you guys. She's coming to Empire," Daniels told the crowd.

Mariah isn't alone though as some other huge musicians will be joining the series. E! News, has listed some of the stars that will be coming onboard for some season two roles.

Destiny's Child star Kelly Rowland will be joining the cast to play Lucious' mom in a flashback sequence, while Ludacris, Alicia Keys, Chris Rock and Lenny Kravitz's names have all attached to the second season as well. However, there is no word yet on what roles these stars will be filling.

Accoridng to The Hollywood Reporter, this will be Mariah's return to Fox after her one season stint on American Idol. She has previously worked with Lee on his projects Precious in 2009 and Tennessee in 2008. She has also made appearances on Real Husbands of Hollywood, American Dad and Ally McBeal.
