Aaliyah trigically passed away on August 25, 2001. She was only 22-years-old. In just a few days, heartbroken fans will pay tribute to the "I Miss You" songstress on her death anniversary now marking 15 years. But according to popular hip-hop producer Timbaland, more new music featuring the late One in a Million superstar will likely hit airwaves soon!

Earlier this week, the 43-year-old R&B mogul shared this exciting announcement on Instagram:

timbaland: "Attention!!!!! People ask me all the time do I have any babegirl music we haven't heard !!!!!well the answer is YES!!!!!!!! TIMBO x BABEGIRL!!!!! Sneak peak coming!!!!!!!"

But this isn't the first time Aaliyah's beautiful voice was used following her untimely passing. Several big-name artists continue using her vocals, including Chris Brown and Drake:

But Timbaland's promise to share a fresh batch of unreleased tracks recently exploded on social media:

@LoneAmorphous: "New Aaliyah music?!?! From @Timbaland??? my heart..."

@PrinceFresh09: "@Timbaland is releasing new Aaliyah music!!! I can't wait to hear it I know it gonna be a banger!"

Aaliyah died on a plane crash shortly after takeoff from the Marsh Harbour Airport in Abaco Islands in the Bahamas (after filming a music video for the hit single "Rock The Boat"). None of the nine passengers (including pilot Luis Morales III, hair stylists Eric Forman and Anthony Dodd, security guard Scott Gallin, family friend Keith Wallace, make-up stylist Christopher Maldonado, and Blackground Records employees Douglas Kratz and Gina Smith) survived the devastating accident.
