Matt Damon kissing scene with Michael Douglas was done with sweet images of Douglas' wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones in the back of his head. In the new biopic "Behind the Candelabra" Damon's steamy kissing scene with Douglas was hard until he came up with a master plan... using his imagination.

In his upcoming film, Damon will play the lover of Douglas, who plays musician Liberace. The romantic scene was awkward for the "Bourne Identity" actor, but used his brain to conjure up images of his co-stars wife, Catherine to get through the scene. According to Access Hollywood Catherine revealed, "Matt actually said to my husband that when he had to kiss Michael, he'd close his eyes and pretend he's actually kissing me, which I thought to be extremely flattering."

Although both men are straight, every love scene can be difficult no matter who actors and actresses are in it with, Catherine said, "When you have to make love or kiss on film, it could be a man, a woman, but it's always strange. It's not something that's an entirely normal day out at the office. I remember when I had to kiss Brad Pitt once, Michael asked me what I was doing that day," she recalled. "I went, 'I'm lying in bed, kissing Brad Pitt. He went, 'Good for you, darling. You enjoy.' Catherine added, "Someone has to do it."

Director Steven Soderbergh, said that the scene may be a part of the behind the scene version, because studios have dubbed the movie "too gay", according to "TheWrap". The movie only cost $5 million for release and no studio picked up the A-lister film, and eventually debuted on HBO.
