Julianne Hough Engaged To Brooks Laich: Posts Instagram [PHOTO] with Hockey Player Fiance

Julianne Hough just got engaged to her hockey player boyfriend Brooks Laich, sharing the proposal announcement to her Instagram. The DWTS starlet showed off her engagement ring for her followers on the social media site while embracing the Washington Capitals star by jumping into his arms. The two were spotted hugging it out in front of gorgeous lake in a romantic nature setting surrounded by mountains and trees.

In the caption of her embracing her 32-year-old beau by wrapping her legs around him, Hough wrote that she was “overwhelmed with joy and excitement” over the new relationship milestone for the duo.

The cute couple has been together since Feb. 2014, and met over a year after Hough ended her longtime relationship with radio host Ryan Seacrest. The two decided to go their separate ways when they found that their schedules became too hectic and conflicted more frequently.

"Every relationship, there was nothing wrong or bad, but there was nothing right. I had one foot out because I didn't want to get hurt,” she said of their relationship.

By 2014, Hough revealed in an interview that the timing was right with Laich, being that she just got back from a wellness seminar with her family. She told Redbook, "I was seeing a couple people, but immediately [pretends to text guys], ‘You are nice, but this is going nowhere. The next day my Curve costar [Teddy Sears] introduced [Brooks and me]. It couldn’t have been a better time. We’ve been open and honest from day one.”

Hough didn’t share a clear shot of her new engagement ring, but it shouldn’t be long before we get a real glimpse. Hopefully we can also some details on what they plan to do for their wedding sometime in the near future.
