A new casting announcement has been made for Season 5 of Person of Interest on CBS. When the show returns in 2016, will Shaw (Sarah Shahi), Finch (Michael Emerson), Reese (Jim Caviezel), and Root (Amy Acker) meet guest star Keith David during their 13 episode run?

In our finale recap, we last saw Sameen Shaw walking away willingly with Samaritan's agents, possibly because she was brainwashed. As Samaritan's agents took out Elias and Dominic, Greer's men put a bag over Control's face and took her hostage. As Pink Floyd's Welcome to the Machine started playing, Finch walked out, with no gun, alongside Reese and Root as they started shooting down Samaritan's agents.

As we previously mentioned, the cast and crew of POI conquered San Diego Comic Con for what appeared to be the last time for the show. This was the opportunity for POI cast and crew to finally address the rumors about the upcoming 13 episodes. If this is the last season, showrunner Jonathan Nolan revealed, "I can't predict down the road but we're very proud of the show and if it's the last season, no one is going to be disappointed with the story we tell."

According to Entertainment Weekly, The Thing actor will be playing the role of a CIA agent. David will play Terence Beale, a smart and cunning CIA supervisory agent. Beale is described as "the kind of guy who knows where the bodies are buried..." Only the They Live actor knows where their corpses are mostly because he put a few of them six feet under himself.

As we mentioned before, a major announcement was made at CBS' Television Critics Association press tour party. Though she was on maternity leave, Sarah Shahi s returning for the fifth and supposedly final season.

Shahi reveals, "I go back in September - full-time. I'll probably do eight or nine" of the the 13 episodes.

As for how Shaw will return to the storyline, the Ray Donovan actress admits with a laugh, "I have no idea what the plan is."

Person of Interest returns to CBS during midseason.
