Well, like most things in the country that make headlines, Caitlyn Jenner is now a Halloween costume. While last year's No. 1 selling costume may have been Ray Rice – or perhaps Ebola – this year's will undoubtedly be the former Keeping Up With The Kardashians lead. It's being reported that a Caitlyn Jenner costume, which mocks the Vanity Fair cover she used to reveal herself to the world, has been made into an outfit for All Hallows Eve. And as you'd expect, some people are not happy—especially the transgender community.

Since news of the costume broke, a petition on Change.org has been started to recall the soon-to-be flying off the shelves outfit. It reads:

"To make a costume out of a marginalized identity reduces that person and community to a stereotype for privileged people to abuse." Furthermore, the petition claims that in the case of the Caitlyn Jenner Halloween costume, "if you follow through with production of a Caitlyn Jenner costume, cisgender people will purchase it to make fun of her and our community."

Halloween franchise Spirit Halloween has announced to the Daily News that they will sell the "Unisex Call Me Caitlyn Costume." They claim, "Caitlyn Jenner has proven to be the most important real-life superhero of the year. Spirit Halloween is proud to carry the costume that celebrates her."

And while that's all well and good, the truth of the matter is that many people buying the costume very well may use it for humor purposes. In fact, head on over to AnyTimeCostumes.com – the very place in which the Caitlyn Jenner costume was created – and you'll find the "Call Me Caitlyn Unisex Adult Costume" under the "Humorous" tab.

Just saying.
