It has been 14 years since the death of the beloved singer Aaliyah. One person that remembers the "Try Again" songstress was her then boyfriend, Dame Dash. In an Instagram post, Dash memorialized the singer who tragically died in a plane crash while on her way home from the Bahamas after her "Rock the Boat" video shoot.

Dash claimed that he still feels the presence of the late singer daily, and revealed that he was a lucky man to have her in his life. The Instagram post read:

"My feelings will never change and I feel close to her everyday...I know she is with me and protects me and keeps me around the light... She keeps me confident I know love transcends all dimensions it's the strongest power in the universe and her and I have a lot of that forever... I know how lucky I Iam... #InvestInWomen"

Aaliyah was just 22 years old when she died in the horrible plane crash. Along with Aaliyah, eight others were killed. The other victims in the crash were pilot Luis Morales III, hair stylist Eric Forman, Anthony Dodd, security guard Scott Gallin, family friend Keith Wallace, makeup stylist Christopher Maldonado, and Blackground Records employees Douglas Kratz and Gina Smithwas.

Other celebrities who paid tribute to the late singer included Janet Jackson, Timbaland, and Missy Elliott.

In a heartfelt letter Jackson wrote: "What I shared with u [is] ever sacred, everlasting [and] it's pure and it will endure. I love u Aaliyah. #RIP," she captioned the tweeted photo, "I know u r there shining down on me. #ConversationsInACafe"

Elliott tweeted a statement that she made for Fader, which read:

"Most people look at her as an angel. That's what she was. I'm not saying that because people feel like they have to say great things because somebody passed away. It is what it is. She was a sweet person with great, incredible talent who didn't compromise who she was for the world."

Timbaland posted a series of photos of the singer, along with himself, family, and friends.

RIP Aaliyah.
