Eminem vs. 50 Cent, Detroit Gang Rivals: Denies $8 Million Movie Role, Angers NYC Rapper?

Picture Eminem and 50 Cent starring in a movie together as rival gang members. The Street King Immortal emcee was all about it, but apparently the infamous "Rap God" wanted nothing to do with the gangster flick (even if it did pay $8 million)!

In a recent interview with Q magazine, Fifty describes his initial excitement about the proposed project:

"It was a film where we were supposed to be playing two guys from different sides of the tracks" (via News.com.au).

But why did Slim Shady immediately hold back?

"His thing was he didn't like to leave Detroit," the 40-year-old G-Unit hypeman continues. "So I said, 'Hey, they want to give you eight million dollars to do it and we don't have to leave Detroit, so you can go home every night!'"

Sounds like a fair enough deal, right?

Nope, the 42-year-old MMLP2 rapper had other ideas:

"He read the synopsis and was like, 'It's cool but we should do something like The Warriors.'"

Well, not a horrible suggestion. The 1979 cult classic follows the struggles of a dangerous NYC gang, when members "must return to their home turf after they are framed for the murder of a respected gang leader" -

But Fifty was rather dumbfounded:

"I said, 'The Warriors? What the f*ck, Em? The Warriors? Did you just hear me say they want to give you eight million dollars and you don't have to leave Detroit?' He didn't give a f*ck."

Yup, sounds like something the hard-hitting "Berzerk" lyricist would say!

Meanwhile, Shady continues working behind-the-scenes in both music and films. Will he surprise fans with any new songs soon?

The lates issue of Q featuring Fifty's full interview hits newsstands later this month. His highly-anticipated sixth studio album SKI should officially hit airwaves in September.
