'Mr. Robot' Finale Delay: Twitter Reacts To Bryce Williams WDBJ Suicide/Murder Shocker!

USA Network delayed the first season finale of Mr. Robot, starring Rami Malek, and Mr. Christian Slater. Twitter had lots to say about postponing the episode due to the WDBJ TV shooting, which led to the deaths of Alison Parker, Adam Ward, and gunman Bryce Williams.

In our previous recap, after discovering Angela was in trouble, Elliot had to hack into his Gideon's email and remove the honeypot for the Dark Army. Realizing the revolution is happening, Elliot kissed Darlene, which freaked her out. After hacking himself, unlocking the photos in a CD, Elliot discovered Darlene is his sister and Mr. Robot is his father. Unfortunately, neither of them realize Mr. Robot is secretly working with Tyrell.

In our recent recap, Elliot revisited his childhood with Mr. Robot, who is indeed his dead father. While Angela and Darlene looked for him, Elliot found himself staring at his father's tombstone. Fired from Evil Corp, Tyrell then paid a visit to Elliot and revealed how he committed the murder. After Elliot showed him FSociety's Coney Island hideout, Tyrell knew the two of them would be working together.

According to TV Line, USA released a statement, "In a statement, USA Network explained: "The previously filmed season finale of Mr. Robot contains a graphic scene similar in nature to today's tragic events in Virginia. Out of respect to the victims, their families and colleagues, and our viewers, we are postponing tonight's episode. Our thoughts go out to all those affected during this difficult time."

Check out what Twitter had to say about the postponement:

@ira made this comparison, "The thing about America is in '98 when Buffy was pre-empted, Columbine was an anomaly. Mr. Robot could have a new delay each week."

@HunterFelt tweets, "This "Mr. Robot" thing is reminding me of the post-Columbine delay of the Buffy Season 3 finale. Back when this all felt unusual."

@venturions argues, "Something massively depressing about the Mr. Robot finale delay, but it was a respectful decision to postpone."

@TVandCrumpets adds, "I understand the need to delay media in the wake of tragedy. But damn, I really wanted to watch that #MrRobot finale tonight."

@mrjoshjune points out, "Look, I hate gun owners as much as anyone could ... but to delay the finale of Mr. Robot because of today's shooting is a bit much."

@MickIAm mentions, "Kudos to @USA_Network for their decision to delay their finale of #MrRobot Compassion for life goes a long way in my book"

@RealJoeSullivan writes, "so upset they had to delay the mr robot finale, but I understand"

Mr. Robot continues for one last Wednesday at 10pm on USA.

Readers, should the episode have been delayed?
