The Until Dawn videogame has released new gameplay footage for the PlayStation 4. The Supermassive Games developers tease the "Launch Trailer" in their latest footage of the exclusive PS4 horror/survival game after receiving glowing reviews after its official UK release date.

As we previously mentioned, eight friends find themselves trapped together on a remote mountain retreat. But these friends should be suspicious because they aren't alone. Gripped by dread, and with tensions running high, these eight friends must fight through their fear if they hope to make through the night in one piece.

As the gamer, you get play as each of the eight characters. You will experience fear like you never have before because your every decision affects them. Your actions alone will decide who survives at the end of Until Dawn. The story is written in collaboration with cult horror writer/directors Larry Fessenden (I Sell The Dead) & Graham Reznick (I Can See You).

According to the official Playstation Blog, Ken Chan, SCEA Product Manager reveals, "We've also been working on a custom audio mode for Until Dawn, tuned specifically for PlayStation headsets, which you can download starting today via the Headset Companion App. So get ready, turn the lights off, turn on your PS4 and see if you can survive... Until Dawn."

In the review by IGN, "Some of Until Dawn's most thrilling moments came when I was being pursued and had to make split-second decisions on my method of escape, all the while trying not to fumble at a prompt which would result in my immediate capture or death."

Check out the cast list of the voice actors in the game, which includes stars Rami Malek (Mr. Robot), Hayden Panettiere (Heroes), and Brett Dalton (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.).

As a special pre-order bonus from Amazon, there will be an extra bonus chapter. This additional piece of playable story content will focus on Emily (Nichole Bloom) and Matt (Jordan Fisher) as they encounter a new threat lurking in the snowy cold. This time around, they'll be accompanied by a whole new couple.

Until Dawn is in stores for the PS4 in the US, available in the UK after August 28th.
