Scott Walker Building Wall on Canadian Border? Debates Immigration, Terrorism from Canada

Everyone is talking about immigration and building a wall at the U.S.-Mexico border but it seems not many people are debating building one up north. Maybe that's because we enjoy taking weekend trips to Montreal? Who knows. Either way, don't worry yourselves, folks, because Republican presidential candidate Scott Walker has recently admitted that it's the U.S.-Canada border that deserves a wall just as much as the Mexican border. The candidate recently said that terrorists are coming through Canada down into the United States. Because of this, he believes it is "a legitimate issue for us to look at."

So, while we're all just not caring about Canada, Walker is on it!

Per a report from CNN, Walker's Canadian border idea is actually a "legitimate" issue on his mind, and something he believes we should be talking about.

During Sunday's episode of Meet the Press, Walker told host Chuck Todd that he believes we should be focusing on the securing the border, especially as the illegal immigration issue is such a much-talked-about topic today.

Focusing more so on the security of our borders – all of them, apparently – would help us out, Walker believes, in "almost every one of the issues [of immigration] out there," he said. Anything from the 14th amendment to birthright citizenship, the Republican believes honing our efforts in on border control is of most importance.

"Whether it's talking about the 14th Amendment or anything else, until we secure the border and enforce the laws, we shouldn't' be talking about any other issue out there."

Walkers claims that any other politicians who do talk about issues outside of border patrol are doing so merely to distract us from the fact that Washington has continually made promises to the American people that they simply cannot and do not keep.
