Saturday Night Live Season 41 kicks off on Oct. 3, and alongside the premiere's host Miley Cyrus – who you all might have seen on Sunday night as the host of the MTV VMAs – will be a newcomer to the SNL team. Stand-up Jon Rudnitsky will officially make his premiere as a player on the famed NBC series.

Per a report from The Hollywood Reporter, the 25-year-old stand-up is already based in New York, having begun his comedy roots back in high school. In 2012, he earned himself the title of winner of the college comedy contest at the Laugh Factory Laugh Bowl.

According to Splitsider, Rudnitsky was named one of the New Faces for Just For Laughs.

Here are some bits from Rudnitsky's work, stand-up and sketch:

So, just what kind of material will we see from Rudnitsky on SNL? Well, how about a John Mayer impression?

As earlier reported, Miley Cyrus will be hosting the season premiere of Saturday Night Live this coming Oct. 3. She hosted Sunday night's MTV VMAs show and made several headlines surrounding both outfits, the announcement of her new (and free!) album, and of course, that whole Nick Minaj thing.

After Cyrus's episode of SNL, Amy Schumer will be hosting on Oct. 10, followed by Tracy Morgan on Oct. 17.
