Kobe Bryant's got another nickname: "Bay-Boo." Now, this nickname may be what his wife, Vanessa, calls him, but don't get it confused; Black Mamba doesn't care if his competitors make fun of him for it. According to Complex Magazine and ESPN, the LA Lakers star was recently featured in a podcast where he and the former teammate, Shaquille O'Neal, spoke about their time as teammates and addressed a few rumors regarding their relationship.

During the interview, Shaq put a pause on speaking about his time with Kobe and instead focused on a nickname he was previously unaware of, until he saw a photo posted on Instagram by Vanessa Bryant. The photo was in reference to Kobe's 37th birthday and the caption of the photo read, "Happy birthday bay-boo!!! @kobebryant #BirthdayBody #37 #Leo/Virgo #CuspBaby #Lego #TB pic from #Bali":

Shaq then asked Kobe about it and Kobe openly admitted that his wife calls him "Bay-Boo" at home, rather than "Black Mamba." Although Kobe did slightly hint at his distaste of his wife's nickname: "Bay-Boo," he said. "You can't do that! I'm supposed to be the Black Mamba."

When the co-host of the podcast, John Kincade, asked what Kobe was going to do now that "Bay-Boo" is out in the open and available for other NBA players to use, the Black Mamba said, "I do not care what they whisper. Bay-Boo will still drop 60."

Now, Kobe Bryant may be a Taylor Swift fan, have spelling troubles and be on the verge of the end of his career, but that won't be stop him from being the Black Mamba (even though his wife calls him "Bay-Boo").
