Dwayne 'Rock' Johnson Saves French Bulldogs From Drowning in Home Pool

Dwyane "The Rock" Johnson brought home two french bulldog puppies who jumped into his pool, causing him to save them from drowning. The Jungle Cruise actor shared the scary experience on his Instagram page, where he revealed that he had just gotten the two adorable baby puppies that same day.

The Rock penned that as soon as he let the two dogs, named Brutus and Hobbs, roam free, and go to the bathroom in his backyard, they both bolted straight for his pool. The two flew right into the water, with Brutus reportedly falling straight down, as if to weigh the same amount as a brick. Once he caught wind of the seriousness of the situation, Johnson quickly jumped into the pool, fully clothed, to save his new cute creatures from drowning.

After taking them both out of the water, he remarked that Brutus appeared to be a little delirious, and even threw up the water that he had swallowed. The Rock joked that he “looked up at me as if to say, 'Thank God you didn't have to give me mouth to mouth!' and then ran off to play with his brother."

Concluding his story in the caption, along with a cute, smiley photo of him with the two dogs, Johnson explained that there were three lessons that he learned about his new pets. He said that not all dogs have the instinct to swim in a doggie paddle style, some will sink very fast after being in shock, and to not have your phone in your pocket when you react. Johnson then shares that his cell phone was in his pocket while saving his pups, and he more than likely destroyed it while submerging into the pool water.

We’re so glad that Johnson and his two new pooches are safe and sound after what could have been a disastrous experience.
