Reports confirm that Salwa Amin, star of MTV's new hit reality show "Buckwild," was arrested early Monday morning (Feb. 11) in West Virginia on felony drug charges. 24-year-old Amin was ultimately charged with two counts of drug possession (heroine and oxycodone) with the intent to deliver. The young, small-town party girl is currently being held at the Central Regional Jail on a $200,000 bond.

According to the Huffington Post, West Virginia state police claim that after receiving a tip from an informant, a multi-agency task force arrested Amin and two other individuals at a home in Summersville. Officers allegedly found oxycodone pills and heroin in Amin's possession. During Amin's arraignment at the Nicholas County Magistrate Court later on Monday morning, she was officially charged on the felonies of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Her bail was set at $200,000.

Amin and MTV spokeswoman Candice Ashton had no comment about the arrest.

TMZ reports that just last week, MTV announced it would pick up "Buckwild" for a second season (the premiere season debuted in January). Several fans describe "Buckwild" as the redneck version of "Jersey Shore." Many critics (including SenatorJo Manchin) believe that the show provides a negative portrayal of West Virgina's "wild, carefree" youth.
