On the road, Abraham (David Bradley) is telling the story of the Occido Lumen to Nora and Vasiliy Fet (Kevin Durand). Eldritch Palmer (Jonathan Hyde) pays a visit to Coco and apologizes to her, saying he loves her. Abraham enters a rave apartment, which is filled with vampires. Unfortunately, they are at the wrong place for the second time in a row.

Dutch (Ruta Gedmintas) and Eph are in the middle of the stakeout, bantering back and forth. The two discover Palmer is screwing his secretary. They learn the Mayor wants to destroy Councilman Justine Feraldo (Samantha Mathis)'s career because she's become too powerful. Eph had a place and time where he can finally kill Palmer.

As the search for the book collector continues, Abraham finds himself inside a locked rare book store. Surrounded by books, Abraham believes the ancient text is somewhere inside.  With Dutch on the lookout, Eph gets the shot ready.

During her meeting, Justine argues against the wealthy class, who don't want to pay taxes for her  war effort. While speaking to the press, Palmer and Coco are moving around too much for Eph's eye. Eph pulls the trigger but has to make a run for it.

Palmer lifts his head and finds Coco lying on the floor, taking the bullet meant for him. As they make a run for it, the police block their getaway vehicles. Dutch and Eph take the back staircase, pretend to be a couple, and are suddenly spotted by a police officer.

As Dutch and Eph are arrested, Fet and Nora learn from the news about the assassination attempt. Fet and Nora leave to rescue their friends, but Abraham says behind to search for the ancient book. As the doctors attempt to save Nora's life, Palmer promises Thomas Eichorst (Richard Sammel) that if she dies, everything falls apart.

Eph is punched in the face as Dutch is taken away.  Eph is surprised to see Palmer still alive. Eph is sorry that Coco is brain-dead, but not sorry for pulling the trigger.

Before leaving the empty precinct, Palmer tells Eph the world won't notice when he dies. After chopping off the vampire's head, Abraham realizes he is in the wrong place. The Master/Bolivar (Jack Kesey) shows up to revive Coco with his white blood.

The precinct is then  under attack by a horde of vampires.A police officer locks himself inside the jail cell with Eph. After the police officer is taken out, Nora and Fet save Eph. The three finally have the location where Dutch was taken.

The last place on his list, Abraham searches through the apartment and finds the ancient book under the floorboards. All of a sudden, Abraham is knocked out and the book is taken away from him. Dutch screams as Eichorst is holding her hostage.
