Arnold Schwarzenegger is New ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ Host: ‘Terminator’ Replacing Donald Trump

It appears NBC has found their Celebrity Apprentice replacement. After firing Donald Trump (allegedly) following a number of racist comments he made geared towards Mexican immigrants, many were wondering just who would be replacing The Donald. Some suspected it would be comedian George Lopez, but it looks like the peacock has decided to go with another immigrant: the Terminator himself Arnold Schwarzenegger. Or, as some might say, The Governator.

Deadline is reporting that NBC made the announcement on Monday, noting that Schwarzenegger has been a fan of the show for quite some time.

Schwarzenegger, who has managed to maintain a career as both an actor and a politician – being California's former Governor – released a statement reading, "I have always been a huge fan of The Celebrity Apprentice and the way it showcases the challenges and triumphs of business and teamwork ... I am thrilled to bring my experience to the boardroom and to continue to raise millions for charity. Let's get started!"

NBC appears to recognize the question burning in everyone's mind: Just what the hell makes Arnold Schwarzenegger qualified to host The Celebrity Apprentice? Well, to that, the network claims that he is the "epitome of a global brand" in both the entertainment business and business in general.

Moreover, Schwarzenegger's ability to make his way into the political world of the United States remains impressive, adding that his accomplishments "speak for themselves."

And yeah, they said that The Celebrity Apprentice "will be back!"

Ugh...

Though, given Schwarzenegger's stature in entertainment, it is possible that The Celebrity Apprentice could go on to raise an uncountable amount of money for charity in the future. Which is certainly a silver-lining.

Of course, with this news we're only guessing that the dreams of comedians and late-night talk show hosts all over the country have certainly come true.

So, turn on those closed-captioning features on your television because the Governator is coming to NBC!
