‘Bob’s Burgers’ Renewed: FOX Animated Comedy Series Gets Seasons 7, 8

FOX's animated comedy series, Bob's Burgers, is renewed for another two seasons. The network announced Seasons 7 and 8 last week. Both the network and fans are looking forward to following the Belchers' hilarious family antics, voiced by Dan Mintz (Tina), Kristen Schaal (Louise), H. Jon Benjamin (Bob), John Roberts (Linda) and Eugene Mirman (Gene). 

"Six seasons in, the Belchers have become one of America's most beloved TV families and we are so happy to keep them in the fold for another two seasons," said David Madden, president of entertainment for Fox Broadcasting Company, who made the announcement.

"Bob's Burgers is hilarious, warm, smart, inventive – critics love it and so do fans. Loren, Jim and the brilliant voice cast continue to surprise us in the best ways, and we look forward to seeing what Bob and the family will cook up in Seasons 7 and 8."

The series by comparison is not as heavily watched as Family Guy or The Simpsons in its prime; however, they perform well with younger viewers, especially since FOX's Sunday night schedule is targeted for under-35 men.

Bob's Burgers is also co-produced by 20th Century Fox Television, which provides the opportunity for a large profit in syndication on Cartoon Network.

The comedy, created by Loren Bouchard, won an Emmy for outstanding animated comedy in 2014 and was nominated twice this year. Currently, Bob's Burgers is preparing for its 100th episode in spring 2016.

"In a way your 100th episode should be almost like your pilot all over again. I think a good 100th episode shouldn't be big and crazy. It should be the quintessential Bob's Burgers episode," Bouchard said in an interview this past September.

Bob's Burgers airs Sundays on FOX at 7:30 p.m.
