Donald Trump Hosting ‘SNL’: Former ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ Star Going Back to NBC

This isn't exactly the most surprising bit of news, but it's being reported that GOP frontrunner Donald Trump is going back to NBC to host Saturday Night Live. The billionaire spent years at the network as the host of The Apprentice and Celebrity Apprentice – and was eventually fired for making "racist" comments during his presidential run speech – and now it seems he's heading back to the peacock.

Trump will step into the host spot this coming Nov. 7, just a year or so outside of the actual 2016 presidential election.

Yes, seriously, we're still a year away from this oh-so-already-publicized election.

Of course, this will not be the first time Trump is hosting the famed NBC sketch show. NBC reports that the billionaire hosted back in 2004 to plug The Apprentice. During the show, he called himself the "highest-paid television personality in America," further stating that the highest-paid is typically the best.

Trump's hosting gig comes after Saturday Night Live opened up its Season 41 premiere with a sketch mocking the GOP leader alongside his wife, Melania. Trump was played by SNL key player Taran Killam and Melania Trump was portrayed hilariously by Cecily Strong.
