'Harlem Shake' Haters Addressed by FX's 'Totally Biased With W. Kamau Bell' [VIDEOS]
Ever since the "Harlem Shake" video meme took over the internet a few weeks back, there have been a number of detractors (read: fun-suckers who seem to think the autuers spent the early 2000's under a rock)screaming to the comment box heavens that the dancers in the videos are never actually doing the Harlem Shake. W. Kamau Bell of FX's "Totally Biased" knows full well of the controversy, and made sure to include it in his show's own version of the meme.
For almost the entire length of the video, nothing seems out of the ordinary (well, there is a dancing penis costume after the bass drops, but this is the internet). At the very end, however, the video cuts to Bell next to an honest to goodness Harlem Shaker. He points to the dancer as if to say "There! Happy?" before the video cuts out.
Check out the clip below [Not technically not safe for work, but there is a man in a genitalia costume. You have been warned].
And, if you have been inspired by the appearance of an actual Harlem Shake to do a little shaking of your own, there is only one song that is appropriate:
