Live! with Kelly and Michael host and former soap opera star Kelly Ripa received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this week. The 45-year-old actress turned daytime television host received the accolade for her contributions to television. Ripa first entered viewers' living rooms as Hayley Vaughan on the ABC soap opera All My Children and has hosted Live! with different co-hosts since 2000.

"We are thrilled to add Kelly Ripa to our Walk of Fame," Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez said in a statement. "Kelly Ripa has won the hearts of people on the small screen across the nation, and we welcome her to our Walk of Fame family with this well-deserved star."

Kelly Ripa's husband Mark Consuelos who she met on the set of All My Children and their three children, 18-year-old Michael, 14-year-old Lola and 12-year-old Joaquin, joined Ripa at the event and posed for photos. Also there to support her was co-host Michael Strahan and fellow ABC talk show host and friend Jimmy Kimmel.

Kimmel said a few words at the ceremony and stated, "You really are the greatest," before Ripa took to the podium to thank her family in a speech for the unveiling of the star.

This past April, Ripa won her third award for Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host at the Daytime Emmy Awards for her work on Live! with Kelly and Michael. She started her hosting career on Live! with Regis and Kelly with Regis Philbin from 2001 to 2010. After a quick year of hosting Live! with Kelly, Michael Strahan joined the show in 2012 for Live! with Kelly and Michael.
