Donald Trump Cancels ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ in NYC Appearance for “Political Commitment”

Tuesday night's episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live in New York City was supposed to house GOP frontrunner Donald Trump. Unfortunately, it appears that the billionaire had other plans, because he cancelled his appearance for a supposed political commitment.

Kimmel reportedly leaked the news that Donald Trump canceled during his spot on The Howard Stern Show Tuesday morning. As his Live show went off later that day, the host kicked off the episode by cracking some jokes about Trump's random leave, telling his audience, "You know, Donald Trump was supposed to be here tonight." Which was met with an oh-so-high, and lengthy, amount of boos.

"Now he's glad he didn't come I guess."

Kimmel further called Trump's people a little "cryptic" in delivering the message that the presidential candidate would not be able to appear on the ABC talk show. But of course, had he shown up, he promised "he would have been great," Kimmel ribbed.

Questioning Trump's political commitment, Kimmel was curious if it was something as simple as going on CNN to call someone "an idiot or something."

"Why did he cancel? We told him there were cameras here, right?" Kimmel joked. "Are Tuesday nights the night he volunteers at the orphanage?"

Luckily everyone went home with a "basketball dipped in cologne" so that they could experience what the show would have been like had Donald Trump actually been in attendance. (No, they didn't...)
