Benghazi Hearings: ‘Daily Show’ Blasts Committee for Blaming Hillary Clinton

Last week, democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton made her way to testify before the Benghazi committee to see just went down the night of Sept. 11, 2012, when an American compound was attacked in Libya by extremists, killing the lives of four Americans. The Daily Show with Trevor Noah provided a report of the happenings the day of the near ten-hour long hearing. And, like most things the Comedy Central vehicle churns out, it was wonderful.

"As the investigations went on," Noah said, "it felt like Republicans started to shift their question from, 'Was anyone to blame?' to, more specifically, 'Was Hillary to blame?' and finally just, 'How can we blame this on Hillary?'"

Noah's report explains that there's no denying Clinton, as well as others in the department, made several mistakes in the process, but it was found that nothing was neither "criminal" nor "sinister" went down – but an investigation still followed, of course.

Take a peek at the report below:

Further in the segment, Noah slammed the Benghazi committee, specifically Rep. Kevin McCarthy for (unintentionally) admitting that the whole hope for the committee was to hurt Clinton's campaign.

Of course, if you were to check out any of the Benghazi hearings, then you see Clinton came out rather strong.

The Daily Show ended its report noting that the hearing was "more of a debate about why they were having a hearing" rather than the hearing itself.

And yes, it's true, director Michael Bay has made a movie about Benghazi. Here's the trailer:

"Bravo, Congress," Noah ended his report with, adding, "You're the only institution that can spend money on something with no plot than Michael Bay. Actually, I take that back, Michael Bay has hits."
