‘Daily Show’ Host Trevor Noah Surgery: Gets Emergency Appendectomy, Delays Taping

It's being reported the Daily Show will air a rerun on Wednesday, Nov. 4, as host Trevor Noah is undergoing surgery. The comedian is apparently recuperating from an emergency appendectomy, according a report from Variety.

Fans should know, however, that the surgery went along just fine, and Noah is expected to be back at the Daily Show seat tomorrow, Thursday, Nov. 5.

After word got out, the show shared a joke via Twitter, calling for a "speedy recovery" in the "American hospital" for which he is in.

The message from Comedy Central reads:

"Trevor Noah underwent an emergency appendectomy early this morning. We are happy to report the procedure went well and he is currently recuperating from the surgery. As a result, The Daily Show will air an encore tonight. We expect he and the show will be back with an original episode tomorrow."

Yes, it seems now that Noah is under the wing of Viacom he'll learn that the man doesn't really care if you're ill—the show must go on!

Believe it or not, this is the second news story Noah's had today, as MStars News previously reported on the Comedy Central show's piece about Iowa's GOP event that went down on Tuesday, for which the show was denied access to. It turns out Iowa's GOP chairman Jeff Kaufmann told reporters that he did not want the show in Iowa while ten Republican candidates were in house for the party – mainly because he didn't want anyone making fun of Iowa.

Of course, given the fact that The Daily Show is a television program, both Iowa and Kaufmann were then mocked for minutes on end.
