South Korean girl's group 2NE1 has been crowned the K-Pop queens of 2015 Battle of the Bands. The Korean band beat out Britain's most popular One Direction.

According to Pop Crush's website, the YG Entertainment Girl's group, 2NE1 won the Battle of the Bands with 50.1% of the votes. They were going neck to neck with One Direction until the very end of the competition. The website anointed the members of 2NE1 by announcing the news with a photoshopped image, so that it lookd like all the members of the Korean girl's band members all appear to be wearing crowns.

The Battle of the Band began on Oct. 1, when 2NE1 first set won with their Korean rival group, SM Entertainment's Girl's Generation. The fans of K-pop came out in hoards to support that girl group, but it was 2NE1 who came out on the top. Similar to the finale, 2NE1 was again neck-to-neck with Girls' Generation's with heading only 1.56 percent. In the semi-finals, 2NE1 competed with America's group Fifth Harmony, and it won nearly three-quarters of votes.

South Korean four-members girl group 2NE1 was formed by YG Entertainment in 2009. The girl's first debuted with "Lollipop," a commercial campaign with LG Electronics. The band officially debuted in Japan in Sept. 2011 with a Japanese version of their extended play as "Nolza." Ever since then, the group has released one studio album, "Collection" and two singles in Japan. New York Times named the group's performance at the Prudential Centre in NJ as one of the Best Concerts of 2012.

The band is consist of CL, Minzy, Dara and Park Born. Ever since Park Born's drug scandal in 2014, the band has kept quiet, but with the recent support from the fans, it looks like 2NE1 is soon going to come out with the full studio album.
