Mr. Robot Season 2 Spoilers: Will Christian Slater, Rami Malek See Elliot's "Nervousness?"
The first season finale of Mr. Robot aired on USA Network. In the upcoming Season 2 of Mr. Robot, will Angela (Portia Doubleday) discover Elliot (Rami Malek)'s "nervous breakdown" as he tries to control his split personality, his father Mr. Robot (Christian Slater)?
In our season finale recap, an Evil Corp executive blew his brains out on live television as FSociety launched its hack attack, eliminating the world's debt and spread its message viral. While Elliot was searching for Tyrell throughout the city, Angela was being seduced by the power and wealth of Evil Corp. Unable to control his hallucinations, Mr. Robot took full control of Elliot and gave him orders to follow.
In the post-credits scene, while someone was knocking on Elliot's door, we discovered the White Rose (B.D. Wong) was playing both sides as he was seen at a gathering for Evil Corp.
During an interview with Cosmopolitan, the Doubleday sisters discussed their popular shows, Mr. Robot and Empire. Kaitlin, who plays Rhonda on Empire, and Portia, Angela on Mr. Robot, teased their shows' plot twists.
"Kaitlin: Elliot's dad is not real [laughs] and they're worried about him because they're nervous he's having a nervous breakdown. And...
Portia: That was like, episode five, so eight episodes happened after that. I'm kidding.
Kaitlin: No! Portia, that was the second-to-last episode, when he pushes his dad out the window? When you guys are at the cemetery.
Portia: I don't understand what's happening in Mr. Robot all the time, and I'm really actually intimated for the second season. I'll have to rewatch the first season, I think. With Rhonda, I know Rhonda killed somebody, buried somebody - or, there was a... "
According to TV Line, Slater has also been nominated for for the 2016 People's Choice Awards. The Heathers actors has earned a nod for Favorite Cable TV Actor, competing against Eric Dane, Kevin Hart, and Taye Diggs.
Mr. Robot will return to USA Network for the second season.
