Protesters Gather Outside NBC, Rockefeller Center Over Donald Trump ‘SNL’ Appearance [PHOTOS]

While Saturday Night Live went down this past weekend as an undoubted success, there were many people who really didn't want the presidential candidate to host – mainly Hispanic groups. Of course, given the fact that ratings are key in television, NBC somewhat ignored those haters and went on with Trump as the host anyway. But that didn't stop protesters from lining up outside Rockefeller Plaza in New York City before, during and after the show.

Trump's hosting gig brought in hundreds of protesters to New York City, many of whom held signs against the former Celebrity Apprentice name reading "Stop the Hate."

Deadline reports that the rally began at 6 p.m. up at Trump Tower, where the billionaire lives and conducts much of his business. Protesters then marched down Fifth Avenue, escorted by police, and made their way to Rockefeller Center, the location of NBC as well as where Saturday Night Live is taped.

Despite the crowds, Trump seemed pretty psyched about his performance.

Of course, given the fact that he also had some supporters in attendence probably gave him some more confidence.

As earlier reported, Trump's episode of Saturday Night Live went off rather successfully. During the GOP candidate's monologue, he took an unsurprising stab at comedian Rosie O'Donnell following their feud from a while back. Trump joked that O'Donnell said some "hurtful and untrue" things about him, and in retaliation he said things that were both "mean" and "completely accurate."
