NBC has renewed the popular freshmen drama, Blindspot, for a Season 2. In the upcoming second season, Jane Doe (Jamie Alexander) and Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) will return for more action-packed adventures, but what will their relationship be like.

Blindspot follows Jane Doe (Alexander) is suddenly discovered in the middle Times Square. With no memory of who she is, Jane's only clues are on her body. With the help of Kurt Weller (Stapleton), Jane has to figure what the mysterious tattoos mean. But is Jane actually part of the conspiracy Weller is seeking answers for?

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the top-rated new series has been granted an early renewal order. Nearly three months into its first season, the order for more episodes comes at a time when shows have been trimmed. The current episode count for the freshmen drama has been upped to 23.

NBC Entertainment president Jennifer Salke states, ""We are over the moon with the success of Blindspot, and want to thank our producers and amazing cast for creating one of the most riveting shows on television. Jaimie and Sullivan have done an amazing job of ratcheting up the tension each week in trying to unravel the mystery of Jane's tattoos. We literally can't wait to see what the second season will bring."

Huffington Post describes the Thor actress as the butt-kicking Jane Doe, "Sometimes Jane is a female Terminator with ink. Sometimes she's scared and confused. She's looking for answers, she's looking for love. When the whole tattoos-and-clues thing asks a little too much of our forbearance, we can just sit back and root for her, which may help explain why Blindspot has already been renewed for a second season."

The first season of Blindspot currently airs Mondays at 10pm on NBC.
