Blake Shelton may be a huge country star that is currently dating his The Voice co-star Gwen Stefani, but he is still a down-to-earth country boy at heart. Shelton was branded a "hero" by four Oklahoma teens, whose truck was stuck in the mud for hours.

The four teenagers, Bryar Blanton, Lenyell Blanton, Josh Turner and Adrian Poplin, were left stranded in a mudhole near the Washita River in Ardmore, Oklahoma.

Blanton told Entertainment Tonight, "Me and my buddies were checking out the river, when some of my buddies [accidentally] slid into a big mud hole and got stuck for about two hours."

Blanton explained, "Me and Adrian started walking down the road [looking for help] and [that's when] Blake and his dog, Betty, stopped and picked us up in his truck. He told [Adrian and I] to hop in.

"Then, we went back to the river [where my friends were stuck] and he tried to get them out with his truck. He couldn't do it, so he said he would be back in 15 minutes with his tractor."

The men soon realized that their rescuer was the "Hillbilly Bone" singer and asked for a photo with Shelton.

Blanton adds, "After he helped us out, he talked to us for a minute then said he had to go. He had his bow with him and he talked to us about hunting. He's an all-around nice, caring guy."

The group later tweeted and thanked Shelton for helping them out.

The country singer later responded, saying:

Shelton is not only busy being a hero, but also has a new woman in his life. After months of speculation, a rep for Gwen Stefani confirmed to Page Six that The Voice coaches are dating.

Stefani and Shelton both got divorced over the summer, with rumors swirling that the odd couple were dating.

Shelton and Miranda Lambert split after four years of marriage in July. Stefani and Bush frontman, Gavin Rossdale, parted ways a month later.
