"Gerua" From 'Dilwale' is "About Expression of Love" Says Shah Rukh Khan [WATCH]

"Gerua," one of the songs from Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming movie Dilwale, was released on Wednesday at Maratha Theatre in Mumbai. While the released trailer of the film gave the glimpse into what the film would be like, the released song has beautifully captured the "expression of love" between the characters played by Khan and Kajol Devgan.

According to India.com, Khan explained that the motivation of the song was from Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham's superhit song, "Suraj Hua Madham." 

"The story is the inspiration behind romance." Khan said. Khan also noted that "Suraj Hua Madham" was shot in Egypt where the temperature was very hot. On the other hand, "Gerua" was shot in the cold temperatures of Iceland. "I think it is about expression of love," Khan said.

A day before the launch of the song, Khan said that all the songs in the film have different stories behind them. "They have a celebration song, and then there's a dream sequence song which is larger than life with the cast. 'Rang De Tu Mohe Gerua' is a romantic track with Kajol and me in it," DNA reported.

It was also reported in the past that "Gerua" song from Dilwale is one of the most expensive songs in Bollywood history. With the backdrops of exotic locations from Ireland, and some never-seen-before special effects increasing the beauty of the song. According to Bollywood Life, "The special effects in 'Gerua' are amazing. It is something that hasn't been attempted in Bollywood before. A lot of money was spent on making sure this song blows everyone's mind."

Directed by Chennai Express director, Dilwale is the most awaited flick of this year. Along with Khan and Devgan, Varun Dhawan and Kirti Sanon will also be featured in the lead roles. The film is slated to release on December 18.
